A fabulous antique Suffragette ring from the late Edwardian period featuring four 0.02ct Diamonds, two 0.20ct Peridots and a 0.25ct Amethyst.
Suffragette jewellery was worn to show one’s allegiance to the women’s Suffragette movement in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which carried the message: Green for Give, white for Women and violet for Votes!
The stones are set in a robust 9ct Yellow Gold gallery which is beautifully engraved along the top and shoulders with hallmarks within dating the piece as Birmingham 1917.
The ring is a wonderful representation of the movement and is a spectacular find boasting beautiful design from its period.
